A Galaxy of Grottoes
A study day organized by the Birbeck Garden History History Group
The theme for the day will be the ever-intriguing subject of grottoes in garden history from classical times through the Italian Renaissance to their heyday in Britain of the 18th century, and will include a session on the problems and practicalities of their restoration.
