Goldney Grotto and Gardens, Bristol
This is one of the best preserved and most remarkable of 18th century grottos, and is rarely open. It is filled with the most fantastic shells and mineral formations, and an extraordinary watery cascade. The gardens also have an underground tunnel, a tower, a summer house, a bastion walk, and an orangery. We will have a two hour guided tour starting at 11am. In the afternoon there will be the opportunity to take a walk to see some of the other interesting buildings and sights in this area of the city, followed by a cream tea!
