A Folly Fellowship Event

Following the Bucks Gardens Trust successful application to Historic England as part of ‘The Compiling the Record project’ and the subsequent recognition of Campbell Park, Milton Keynes as Grade II on the Register of Parks and Gardens. This talk will examine the designed landscape of the park and other green spaces across the town, including Central MK’s, Willen Lakes, Ouzel Valley, Newlands Tree Cathedral and Caldecott Lake all of which have been researched by our volunteers.

The talk will include maps and aerial photos of the parks and will highlight their designed features, in particular the sculptures, using beautiful photographs courtesy of the MK’s Parks Trust. We shall also look at how the Parks Trust have coped with the challenges of successfully managing, continuing to renovate and maintain the wonderful parks and open spaces for all to enjoy now and in the future.
