A tour around the Wells and Frome area: Mells Park: an ancient estate updated with new follies, gardening by Gertrude Jekyll, landscaping by William Gilpin and a house by Edwin Lutyens where the end of apartheid in South Africa was negotiated; Pondsmead Grotto: a massive pile of stone in Oakhill, featured in Follies 112; Spindle Cottage: play follies near Binegar, beautifully executed by  one of Somerset’s greatest living folly builders, featured in Follies 100.
